Question for fellow vegans?!

Question:

Question for fellow vegans?

Haagen-dazs rasperry sorbet ingredients are:

Water, Raspberry puree, sugar, corn syrup, fruit pectin, lemon juice concentrate

May contain trace amounts of milk protein

Would u eat it since it might contain milk protein? Assuming you would eat the sugar.

Answers:
I think with these things it is not about whether about consuming milk, it is about supporting a company that uses them. Those labels just mean the sorbet is produced on equipment that also would make sorbet with dairy or something.

Personally, I would eat it, but if there was a choice between a vegan compnay and that one, I would go with the vegan company.

it says trace amoutns because it is made in the same equipment and tanks as the regular ice cream

Unless one is alergic to it, yes, I would.

I am somewhat of a vegan,, not 100% I do not drink milk ...sometimes have some cheese, (organic mostly)...so, I would say,,, why not? how can we be sure all the time of anything...until we reach heaven...and, everything is honest and perfect, and no animals are hurt, or destroyed for mans pleasure?

Unless you have severe dairy allergies, eat it. The disclosure is made because they make the sorbet on the same equiptment that is used to make ice cream. Read "How Vegan"

Also, knowing that all books, car tires and other manufactured goods contain animal stuff means you need to be aware and active, but not neurotic about animal issues.

I wouldn't eat it simply for the fact that it is ice cream. How unhealthy.

I wouldn't eat it! Don't do it!

I wouldn't eat it and besides the sugar in it is most likely white sugar and white sugar is not vegan. beet sugar is vegan though.
