Sushi temperature at consumption?!

Question: Sushi temperature at consumption?
My brother just got sushi take-out.

All of the sushi was in a carton underneath a bowl of hot soup. He had to drive about 10 minutes home.

What are the chances the sushi would be spoiled or give us food poisoning from being warmed up for 10 minutes by the soup?

(we still ate it anyway of course lol)

The danger zone for food is between 4 to 40 degrees celcius. It is called the danger zone because at that temperature bacteria multiplies at an extremely rapid rate, and if enough bacteria multiplies the food could become unsafe for human consumption.. Food safety laws dictate that foods cannot sit in the danger zone for more than 4 hours.

In conclusion, 10 minutes would not be enough time for enough bacteria to multiply to make it dangerous for consumption. So relax.

Sushi should be served at room temperature, find a take-out that sells a lot of a product, that way you know it's fresh. Anyway I think your safe from food poisoning. Rice is actually the main offender when it comes to food poisoning, should never be reheated, like fried rice etc

Sushi should be consumed at room temperature. If the sushi was purchased from a reputable restaurant and prepared by a sushi chef you should have no problems at all.
