nepalise food question?!

Question: Nepalise food question?

I am 17 a vegetarian and am going up mount Anaapurna. I would be staying in Tea houses and so there would be a napaliese cook cooking food for our group on the way. I was wondering. What am I to expect? I can't really turn down food which they cook for me because that would be rude but might it be vegetarian? what sorrts of food would they be making. :) thanks for any help

the folk from this country would bend over backwards to ensure that all of you dietary needs are catered for a lot of them being vegetarian as a way of life but a lot do eat meat but they would not be offended or hurt if you do not eat meat but they would be hurt and offended if you did not inform them that you do not eat meat the folk from this country have a long association britain as this is where the Gurkha's from and when they make a curry it is hot no mater if it meat or veg table you as a guest would be made extremely welcome and looked after

Most of the population of Nepal is Hindu. The Hindu religion encourages vegetarianism, but not all Hindus are vegetarians. You should not have too much trouble getting vegetarian food in Nepal..
