November 27, 2000 in Portland, Oregon, USA.

that happened a long time ago

That picture is really weird/cool, but I hope you realize that is most likely a prank, and not a real chicken head.

I don't know, but I wish it happened to me. I think it is hilarious!

hehehe!! thanks for the funny picture! I bet that was in mississippi or Georgia

Yikes, I saw this on the news. I think it was Pennsylvania. I've made my last trip for take out chicken!!!!! And when have you ever seen a box from McDonald's like that?

Hmmm....

For some reason, I just don't believe everything I see on the internet.

OMG thats flippin gross thank goodness i HATE mcDonalds their food is gross lol oh your question sorry don't know try googling it thats what ima gonna do! haha thats soo funny!!!

That happened along time ago, and if you go to my favorite debunking site, you will see it's an elaborate hoax. Sorry to hurt your feelings, but it's nothing but a hoax.

EWWW thanks for showing me that! :( but yes mcdonalds is gross!I wouldn't want to eat there

Mom Finds Chicken Head In Meal
McDonald's Meal Contains More Than Toy

NEWPORT NEWS, VA, Updated 12:23 a.m. EST November 30, 2000 -- A woman ordered fried chicken wings for her children, and found a decapitated chicken's head in the box along with the rest of the meal.

Katharine Ortega made the gruesome discovery at a Newport News, Va. McDonalds, according to CNN. She said that the chicken's head, obscured by batter, could have very easily been mistaken for another piece of chicken.

Ortega is warning others to double-check all food orders.

I dont know, but man thats just plain wrong. I mean come on you cant tell me the employee couldnt tell what that was. I use to work in a mcD's, so I know they dont get that big of chicken clumps.

Probably just fun with Photoshop. The people who supposedly found this won't let anyone examine it.

I think it's fake. But if not, "McDonald's" wasn't even spelled correctly. It said "MacDonalds." So was "without" and "despite."

I remember this.!!!!!
On the night of November 27, Mrs. Katherine Ortega bought a box of fried chicken wings at a local McDonald's restaurant and took it home to her family. While dishing it up to feed her children, Ortega noticed that one of the pieces looked, well ... funny. Examining it more closely, she saw it had eyes and a beak.

She screamed. It wasn't a wing at all, she realized; it was a chicken's head, battered, fried, and fully intact.
It sounds like an urban legend, sure enough, which is why some people have expressed skepticism. The story has earned column inches in newspapers all across the United States -- even finding its way into the esteemed Washington Post -- but who trusts the media to give us the facts anymore?

Plus, parts of the story beg for further explanation. Why did Ortega go straight to a local TV station with her find, while refusing to allow the owner of the accused restaurant to examine it? How did a chicken head find its way into box of wings in the first place?

Hope it helps!!

i saw that on tv when it first happened. that woman is better than me cuz i wouldn't be standing there holding that thing. if you can enlarge the print in the newspaper,

this happened in virginia to mrs katherine ortega. go to your search engine (i use google or IE) and just type in 'woman found chicken head in box'. and it came up.

she bought the mcdonald's chicken and was serving it to her family at home when she saw this freaky thing. she said she screamed.

the first question people asked was why would she go straight way to a local tv station instead of taking that thing back to the restaurant, instead of letting the store manager examine it?

you can find anything on the internet. just type in whatever it is you want to know about.

I seen this story on tv she eventually got caught for fraud on her law suit

OK.

it happened several years ago, but where i can't remember. and yes, that is a real chicken head. not a joke.

hah. i thought that wasnt real?

Its just a Urban Legend

don't know
