Why are more and more Japanese restaurants popping up?!

Question: Why are more and more Japanese restaurants popping up?
Japanese restaurants didn't seem that common until a few years ago, then they just started popping up everywhere!

Answers:

As we, as Americans move more and more towards a healthier way of eating, we often seek out cultures that are consistently healthy and mock those styles of eating in various ways. That being said, the Japanese eat primarily from the sea and are an extremely healthily eating society as a whole. I pray that we all take our cues from Asia, incorporating green tea and many other healthy items as much as possible.

because more & more Japanese people live in foreign countries.
because more & more health-concious people are interested in Japanese food.
because more & more people regard 'Japanese restaurant' as a good business.

I live in California where there are more Japanese restaurants then all the fast food places together for the last 20 years so I can only assume you're referring a different state.

The food is good but the reason you see them being so popular is that Japanese pop culture is the in thing right now.

cuz the food is gooood!
