Its not the weight, when we are talking about light food. Its about calories. The foods with very little calories are considered light foods.
generally it is the feeling that it gives. a plate of rice and meat opposed to a salad or some fruit. it can literally be heavy on your stomach and hard to digest, or it can be light on your stomach and easy to digest.
