Does anyone out there love Alton Brown as much as I do?
He's one of the stars of Food Network, in case you're wondering who he is. He is a great chef, and wonderful teacher. I made terrific omelets last week for my family thanks to Alton! I was soooo proud.

He's my Idol, he expresses the reason I love cooking so much. Well he wasn't on TV when I was a kid and decided my career would be the cooking industry because I loved the connection to science it had I just found that magical in some way & still do. Which is what he knows and expresses clearly and concisely when making his food, so you understand every aspect of it and will be able to use any recipe he uses and it will always turn out perfectly if you follow his precise directions, if only he wasn't married!

Good Eats is one of my favorite shows. His books are very good too.
What I like about Good Eats is that he shows you how to understand what's happening when you're cooking and that ultimately makes you a better cook.
