Should you cook "nem-chua" before consumption or should you eat them as-is?!

Question: Should you cook "nem-chua" before consumption or should you eat them as-is?
Vietnamese eat "nem-chua" as-is or raw straight from the package. But, there's a cook before serve instruction on the package. Should you cooked nem-chua as instructed on the package? Or, should you eat nem-chua raw like Vietnamese do?

Answers:

it seems to me that pork is supposed to be fully cooked. does the fermenting process kill all the nasties?
perhaps if it were prepared at home by a real vietnamese, l might be tempted to eat it as is, uncooked. but store bought, not knowing where and who made it, l think l would go ahead and grill it.
don't forget a few drops of nuoc mam.

yep
