Is Greek yogurt suppose to smell a bit, different than regular yogurt?!

Question: Is Greek yogurt suppose to smell a bit, different than regular yogurt?
It's not spoiled that I can tell and haven't gotten sick or anything, its just different.

Answers:

"Greek" yogurt is just yogurt that's been drained of most of it's whey so it's thicker and stiffer. Some Greek style yogurts are also made partially with cream so they're "creamier."

"Fage" is one brand of Greek style yogurt that's sold in the U.S. (and the first one I think). In Greece, it's made from cows milk/cream (and cows which have been fed on grass, so their milk does taste a little better than milk or yogurt from cows in the U.S. which are grain fed). If that's the brand of Greek yogurt you have, it shouldn't smell that different, but of course it could be flavored in various ways which would change it's smell including the fact that it's flavored with honey which smells a little different than regular sugar.

(Yogurt --and other milk products like cheese, etc-- can be made from other animal milks too, like goat or sheep, but goat milk isn't all that common --it might smell different than yogurt made from cow's milk since it's "gamier" smelling in general. And don't know if it's often drained to make it Greek style:

It really depends i can smell a bit diffrent but be carefull it could be bad depending on were you bought it if it was kept cool or if it was out of date.

Yes it is. Greek yogurt uses goat milk rather than cow milk there for a very different smell.
