It is a berry from Brasil. It is a small, deep purple berry that is considered to be one of the highest in antioxidnents, amino acids, omegas, fiber, protein....lots of good stuff...It is delicious. In Rio they serve it like an icee in a cup and you eat it with a spoon. They always put guarana in it. Sometimes it is topped with granola...No matter - it tastes great. It can pack pounds on you if you eat too much! Lots of tests are being made on the berry as a cancer curing agent. It is just loaded with good things.
In Brasil they also make jewelry from the seeds - they dry them and paint them with natural dyes and string beads and earings and many other crafts. Acai was one of my favorite things about Rio. You can find it here now in many drinks, ice creams (Haagen Daz is coming out with acai ice cream), supplements, powders, etc. Try it - it is very good and very good for you.

The fruit is small, round and blackish purple, It looks like a grape, but smaller and darker. It has a big seed and very little pulp. Acai is widely used in energy drinks, ice cream, energy bars with granola, and now it is in it’s best form a powder extract that is more powerful and yet convenient to take.

Its a fruit from a palm tree. It is bluish purple and looks like grape. It's suppose to have a lot of antioxidant, and is popular in brazil.

It's a berry that is one of the most powerful antioxidants that you can find. It's a great way to get a natural energy boost, without the jittery feeling that caffiene can give you.
