Making sausage patties with Italian sausage?!


Question: Making sausage patties with Italian sausage?
I have about 3/4 pound of mild italian sausage that I would like to use to make just a few small sausage patties to go with a Breakfast type dinner for tonight. Does anyone have a recipe that I could use. Can I just mix the meat with some bread crumbs, an egg, parsley and seasonings?

A recipe for sausage patties? All you do is pat it into a patty shape and fry.

There is no egg or bread crumbs or anything else in a sausage patty. To do so would turn it into a kind of meatloaf.
