Question:

Which taco seasonins be tastin better when u got the munchies?

i got a packet of lawrys and a packet of ortega...which should i use to make some baller *** soff tacos?

Answers:
why the dilemma? make half with one and half with the other -- then you've got yourself a soft taco variety pack...

oretega

hell, u got the munchies, u don't care lol, mix em both together. :P ortega's better

JUST PUT PEANUT BUTTER IN YOUR TACOS! ITS GREAT.

ortega man are you kidding me...btw if you have the REAL munchies and you like peanut butter try peanut butter and mac and cheese....sound disgusting then you havent tried it!

ortega for sure. never use lawrys or anything generic for any mexican seasoning. i guarantee it.

To tell the truth...I make my own with spices I have in the kitchen. That way I know they are fresh and have a great taste in whatever I put them in.
Go to the store one day when you have time and check out the Latin section of the food store. They have small packages of each spice and it's so much cheaper than on the regular spice isle.
Here are the spices I use for Mexican cooking:
Whole Cumin seeds
Mexican oregano
whole Garlic cloves from produce isle
chile powder
black peppercorns

The Cumin seeds and peppercorns need to be toasted to do this put a couple tablespoons of them in a frying pan and heat on med high until you can smell them....don't let them burn...then it's time to grind them ....if you don't have a grinder then use the large heavy cooking pan and with the bottom of it mash them inside a kitchen towel.
Now take some of each of the other ingredients and mix with these spices. You will enjoy doing this I'm sure making your own. The flavors will really be fresh and wonderful. You then can control the heat and flavors you enjoy. Good luck...
Hugs from Mama Jazzy Geri
PS
If you make this mix you can store it in the refrigerator and have it ready for many uses like to use on grilled marinated chicken....oh yes...if you do add lime juice to the chicken ...
