The sweet which is recognised nationally is National Sweet & in case of India its Laddo !
for...all indian schools distribute laddoos on National festivals ..ie...Independence Day & Republic Day !

Of course every body loves laddoos, but in my opinion it should be Pedhas, which are loved, as well as cherished and distributed on all the happy occasions, like success, births,weddings.. you name it.
Easier to make,with Mawa, in different sizes, with saffrron flavour.
Laddooos are more variable, but Pedhas are more universal all over.
And the female version of a Pedha is Burfi; most delicious, and tempting.
But how can we decide like this ? With so much diversity ?
Bengali Babus will say, it should be Rashgullas !
