Now much different than a beef or veal goulash, except it is made with sausage, I have made it, but I removed the casing form mine and used a mild beef sausage like a South African Boerworts type.
It is mostly like one made with a solid meat, heavy on the paprika, I use fine chopped onions and peppers, a tomato based sauce, a dash of dill and caraway, serve with rice, noodles or I make small Hungarian dumplings, much like German spatzeli but fluffier, sour cream is an option at service.
As it had a fair amount of paprika in the soup or stew that tends to dominate the tastes, plus any extras you add.
