Question:

HELP!Ice-cream maker,which is the best ?

I want a basic,ice-cream maker one that doesn't need to be put in a freezer(like some do),value for money, that'll make hardly any mess?
can you reccomend a good make?
I want an ice-cream maker as ice-cream can be quite expensive, plus I want to make my own ice-cream,that way you know what's going in the ice-cream.

My first ice-cream maker was very basic but it was so messy. Eventually I bought myself an expensive Italian ice-cream maker and I don't regret it. It's called Simac GC 5000 it has its own freezing compartment. Just a matter of gathering the ingredients together, pressing the button and voilà. There is no mess whatsoever. Great ice-cream every time BUT the machine is a bit noisy.

I bought it from a website, but I don't remember which one. Here you have a photo and more details:

A "Which" report recommended the Phillips, but you do need to freeze the bowl.

there is nothing wronge with your wants. If you want an ice cream maker that will freeze the cream for you be prepaired to go to resteraunt supply and be ready to pay around 1,000 for it maybe less if used.

I make mine in a bowl from the market 50p. Put in 1/2 a pint of whipping cream, 2 tablespoons of milk, 2 ounces of icing sugar. Flavouring: 2 teaspoons of vanilla or use anything you want to flavour it with like a bit of rum and raisins. Whip the whole thing into a frenzy, put it in the freezer. Done
