and also---can i replace urad dal with chana dal in urad dal ladoo recipe ?

Most desserts with Dal in them are flours like Ladoo, Burfi and even Jalabi is made from dal flour, most can be interchanged is most recipes, I have made Gulab Jaman with a mix of dal and wheat flours, a bit heavy, but nice, best to buy them in small amounts as bean and lentil flours tend to go off quickly.
