What kind of Pakistani food is this?!

Question: What kind of Pakistani food is this?
My old neighbour brought over this dish to us during Ramadan. They are Pakistani. The dish was basically like a small pastry thing. it was squared and dark red/brown. I think it had chicken vegetables ans soft cheese in the middle and it was spicy. Does anyone have any idea of what it is and how to make it? I really want it.

There are many Pakistani pastry dishes... It does sound like a chicken samosa though. They would normally come with veg in them and would normally be served with a chutney. The best thing you can do is tell them that you enjoyed them, ask what they were and (assuming it's not a family secret) how to make them.

maybe this one:

it uses puff pastry, not filo pastry

It was an Indian dish. Probably Samosas which are a common dish eaten at this time.

Why don't you ask your neighbour who gave you the meal.

My brain.
