What is this Turkish Desert?!

Question: What is this Turkish Desert?
A few years ago a foreign exchange student from Turkey came to live with my family and she would always make this desert that everyone loved, but we can't remember the name or exactly how to make it. The ingredients are- carrots, coconut shavings, some sort of cookie or cracker and possibly something else. She would shave the carrots in to thin slices (like graded cheese) and somehow mix it with the crushed cookies and then coat it with the coconut shavings. Do you know what it's called and any more specifics on how to make it? Thank you!

It sounds like the Indian dessert called Guden Halwah, in the Arabic and Mediterranean country's they make the same desserts but throw in a different ingredient, if this is not right, just search under Turkish desserts in either Yahoo or Google, they will have 100's to choose from.
