whats bisquick??

Stir together in a bowl:
1 cup of flour (white or whole wheat)
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 - 2 tablespoons sugar

Add:
2 beaten eggs
2/3 cup milk
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

You can also add:
1 apple, peeled, cored & grated
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Mix the liquid ingredients lightly into the dry ingredients with a spoon or fork. The mixture should be slightly lumpy, not overmixed.
Heat 2 tablespoons oil or margarine in a frying pan. Pour the batter into the hot oil, about 2-3 tablespoons per pancake. Cook until bubbles form on top. Flip over and cook the other side.
Serve with REAL maple syrup.

We take Bisquick & add water, stir until the lumps are removed, let it rest for approx. 3 minutes ~ while you are doing that, put about 2 tbsp. of veg. oil in a skillet & bring it to about 300 degrees & pour the mix, you don't use much and when it starts to bubble on the top, that is when it is time to turn over your pancake, cook on that side for about 1 min., put it in your plate, add a little butter and maple syrup and your ready to sit down to some good pancakes. Add some pork sausage they make it in maple flavor as well. It is sooooo good! Enjoy!

The classic American breakfast. Vary the topppings - serve it for brunch with crispy bacon, or as a summer breakfast with fresh raspberries and a sprinkling of icing sugar.

255g/9oz plain flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp caster sugar
250ml/9fl oz milk
2 medium eggs, lightly beaten
6 tbsp cottage cheese
55g/2oz unsalted butter, melted
To serve:
chopped pecans
maple syrup

Method
1. Beat the eggs into the milk and add the melted butter.
2. Sift the flour with the baking powder, salt and sugar.
3. Make a well in the centre of the flour and pour in the milk.
4. Using a wooden spoon beat the mixture quickly to make a batter.
5. Stir in the cottage cheese.
6. Heat a heavy based frying pan. Grease with butter and pour in the batter to make rounds approximately 8cm/3? inch diameter.
7. Cook until bubbles start to appear on the surface, this will take approximately 1 minute. Flip the pancake over and cook the other side.
8. Continue until you have used up all the batter.
9. Heat the maple syrup in a small pan and add the chopped pecans.
10. Serve the pancakes and pour over the maple syrup.

I know how to make scotch pancake, also known as drop scones.
You basically mix some flour, two eggs and milk together, you'll need to whisk it to make sure it a smooth batter. the batter needs to be quite thick, coating the back of a spoon generously.. if it's too thin just add more flour. you could add some baking power if you want really big fluffy pancakes and a little bit of sugar (a table spoon at most) if you want sweet pancakes.
Once the batter is made you heat a pan and rub it with oil.. it should just have a light coating of oil on the surface. pour a ladle of mixture into the pan, cook on one side until you see lots of little bubbles rising on the surface. once there is a good covering of bubbles flip the pancake and cook until browned on the underside.

Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 egg
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup milk

Directions:

Mix ingredients. Pour batter into puddles about 3 inches across, on a hot greased griddle or large flat frying pan over med-high heat. Test heat by sprinkling a couple of drops of water on griddle - if they skip or bounce, it's hot enough. Turn when bubbles have appeared on top and the bottom seems to be stiffening. About 2-3 minutes per side should do it.

They should not be liquid inside, use your judgment or try one to check. Store cooked pancakes in warmed oven, while cooking the rest. Serve with maple syrup, honey, jam or jelly,
