Check out this site on the area, as the second largest city in East Java, one of the hotel might have an Italian restaurant.
That area is mostly Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Arabic or Malakan. But I am sure there are some other Western ethnic places there to. I worked in Singapore.

If u don't mind spending more money, then I'd recommend the Italian restaurant, Portofino in Shangri-La Hotel. And there's a new one called Trattoria...but I'm not sure whether it's opened already.
