Do they sell French Macaroons (english spelling) at Supermarkets?!

Question: Do they sell French Macaroons (english spelling) at Supermarkets?
I'm trying to bring some in to my French class, for food day, and I've been looking online for them since I can't seem to find them at Giant, Bloom, etc. Does anyone know of any grocery stores that DO sell them? I haven't been to Wegmans or Trader Joe's yet. I am in Virginia if that helps. (Also, please note the difference between the coconut macaroons Americans are familiar with to the real deal! I'm not looking for the coconut ones. Thanks!!

Answers:

I have never seen them in Grocery stores. I would look for a french bakery (Patisserie). They are such a specialty item.
