What is different between Kefir and sour cream.?!

Question: What is different between Kefir and sour cream.?
I do my own kefir /sour milk/.For one glass of milk I do add tea spoon sour cream and live it for 3 days and it is ready to drink. What is a different between kefir from the store and my own I call sour milk.

Answers:

Well, for a few things:

Kefir is milk, soured by bacteria and yeasts...its texture is a thickish liquid.
Sour cream is cream, soured by bacteria....its texture is a smooth and creamy solid gel.

(You're not making "kefir" if you use only sour cream as your fermentation method.)

kefir is pretty much buttermilk (a popular drink in russia), sour cream is just regular cream fermented by certain kinds of lactic acid bacteria that makes the cream sour.
