Americans! Can you give me a recipe for American `style` meatloaf?

Or meatloaf with a difference. Thanks in advance.

Answers:
2 pounds of ground chuck
2 eggs (lightly beaten)
1 diced onion
1/2 cup diced green pepper
2 slices stale white bread broken up and soaked in some milk (just a little milk in the bottom of a bowl)
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons of worchestire sauce
salt & pepper to taste

Topping: 1 can tomato sauce, 1 cup ketchup, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon mustard
Heat ingredients in a small pot on stovetop, just until it gets to the boil. Remove from heat, let cool.

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly, put into greased loaf pans. I cook my meatloaf for approximately 1/2 hour at 350, then carefully drain the grease out to be discarded. This is when I cover my loaf or loaves with the tomato sauce mixture. Return to oven and bake for another 1/2 hour or until thoroughly cooked. You may want to cover with aluminum foil to insure the inside cooks through without burning the outer loaf.

Take out and let cool for 1/2 hour before slicing and serving.

My typical meatloaf is about a pound and a half of ground chuck, one small chopped red onion, about half a sleeve of saltine crackers crushed up, one egg, about 1/2 cup of ketchup, salt, pepper and a few splashes of Worcestershire sauce. Mix lightly (over mixing makes meatloaf tough) and form into loaf shape on foil lined cookie sheet (with sides so grease does not spill into oven). Mix ketchup and brown sugar together (equal amounts of both) and pour over meatloaf. Bake at 375 for about 30-40 minutes or until internal temp is 160 degrees F. Allow meatloaf to set up for about 20 minutes before cutting.

ANN LANDERS’ MEAT LOAF
This recipe was published by Ann Landers many years ago, and is a family favourite. It's also tasty served cold in sandwiches with lettuce.

2 lbs lean ground beef
? cup ketchup
? cup warm water
2 eggs
1? cup bread crumbs
1 pkg. onion soup mix

Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Put into a 6” x 9” loaf pan (glass or ceramic is best). Press down firmly with a fork.Cover mixture with 2 bacon strips. Pour an 8 ounce can of tomato sauce over meatloaf and bake for at least one hour at 350 degrees F.
Halfway through cooking, drain off fat, if any, and again when cooked.

Meatloaf, you gotta love it!! lol.
Kill the ketchup in the recipe and you're good to go.
I use 2# of Gounod chuck. 1 med onion, (whatever color you like). 2 eggs, a handful of oats, 6-8 crackers, a little seasoning salt, a little garlic salt, some pepper and a dash or two of steak sauce, (which ever is your favorite). Mix well.
Heat oven to 350. put meatloaf in a 9x9 non-stick pan or oven safe glass pan and cook for about 40 minutes.
I don't use ketchup, I hate ketchupie tasting meatloaf. When I run out of gravy for it, I use steak sauce.

Here's how I fix mine... 1 lb. hamburger (or ground venison), 1 egg, about a cup of breadcrumbs (or 1 piece of bread crumbled up in tiny pieces), a chopped onion, a small can of tomato sauce and any other seasonings you would like to add. Then mix all together and form into a loaf pan and bake on 425 for about 1 hour. I sometimes spread a little bit of ketchup on the top of the loaf before I put it in the oven. If you want a bigger one, then just double or triple the ingredients.
