What is yat?!

Question:

What is yat?

I just got a chinese restaurant menu and it says they have chicken, roast pork, beef or shrimp yat. What in the world is it? This is the first time I have ever heard of it. Can someone please explain to me so I don't have to call them and sound stupid for asking. Thanks in advance for your help!

Answers:
I found this recipe:
Yat Gaw Mein is:
Salted Beef broth...MSG/soy sauce/etc...to salt
Any types of noodles: there's rice, fried or wheat noodles.
Boil and shell a couple of eggs and slice them thin. Then add slices of roast pork, chicken, beef, or shrimp.
Hope this helps.

i did a yahoo & google search for "shrimp yat" & even looked in teh dictionary, but all I found was a definition for a form of English dialect...nothing about ethnic foods.

I wish I could've been a bigger help to you, best wishes on your hunt for the definition of shrimp yat!

have a fantastic day! :o)
