Hey guys, just wondering how many calories you think is in Thai Sweet and Sour Chicken (or Vegetables)? Would there be anything else on the menu that is a healthier choice? Thanks!

Pad Thai is a very good suggestion. Yum Neau, larb (laab), or Neau Nam Tok are all very good beef salads that are very healthy. Yum woon sen is good and so are many of the stir fries. Most of the curries are coconut milk based so they are very high in fat (but delicious) and of course anything fried is very fatty. Many thai foods are lean and involve many vegetables and are quite light and tasty.

I think the calories can vary from restaurant to restraint. sweet and sour chicken is fried chicken (fattening) + sugar sweet ( more calories). So if you can stick with less greasy and less sweet, you can do better. I like basil beef(less calorie and stir fry instead of deep fried), and try their salad.

Also, I don't think Thai Sweet and Sour Chicken is not real Thai. Try Pad Thai noodle. Also if you can handle spicy hot, then try papaya salad. Curry food is pretty fattening, too. I also like Thai fried rice with pineapple with basil.
