Carnivores: ever ate a very exoctic meat before?!

Question: Carnivores: ever ate a very exoctic meat before?
What, where, when and how was it?

Sure I have had beef countless times, but I had the tongue a few times at a Mexican restaurant that also specializes in tongue in some of their dishes. Very delicious like pot roast.

How about raw, frozen caribou dipped in seal oil? I would say that was probably the most exotic. I have also eaten reindeer, venison, bison, alligator, frog legs, pheasant, moose, emu, whale blubber, pork liver, pigs feet, pork blood cakes, beef tongue, beef kidney, beef cheeks and goat... some have been delicious some more challenging.

Emu is very lean and usually cooked rare. It's red meat like beef and when cooked well it's almost like a very rare and fillet mignon with almost no fat. If you like goat cheese you will probably like goat meat. I have eaten it in curries and is very tasty that way. If you like cheeks and tongue you can often find them at taco trucks or taquerias. I'm willing to try most exotic meats and my relatives have often introduced me to them.

Ostrich: Delicious! Like an alternate hamburger, it doesn't taste like poultry at all lol
in Georgia. It was a small town restaurant that happened to serve ostrich burgers xD

I've had deer jerky in Illinois. Very good, but it's an acquiring taste.

And I've also tried buffalo, though I can't remember where...i liked it a lot, it tasted very similar to beef.

yeah I'm always willing to try new things xD

Ostrich is great and tastes like steak but cholesterol free. Bison is great and tastes much like beef and is also cholesterol free. Alligator was stringy and chewy and I didn't care for it too much. I had a kangaroo burger which I thought was over rated. It had very little flavor and was metallic tasting.

while stationed in korea me and freinds went to a resturant that specialized in kagogi (dog) we mainly did it just to say we did it, if i had to compare it i would say its alot like venisin (deer)
