yum, i just tasted tunisain food for the first time yesterday.So is couscous the main staple diet there?

It is not all about tinned food...goodness.
Tunisian food is food from Tunisia. Tunisian food is generally hot and spicy. Bread is their staple food, and is normally eaten with dip and olives much like hummus and pita. But you're right about the couscous, as it is quite popular. The national dish includes couscous and an assortment of vegetables with meat, or fish.
Vegetables are not in extreme numbers, but the ones that are eaten are 'carrots, turnips, onions, okra, peppers, tomatoes and chickpeas.'
