It should be served with a nice Hala bread.

today - - halal is meaningless - - along with kosher - - it is a simple matter of religious belief - - not any matter of concern to the billions of people who consume meat
as a matter of fact it defies logic - - kosher is the selection of the prime meat and the lesser quality is for the pagans
I have seen the muslim method of slaughter - - sorry but it is not very humane and takes a long time
any fool knows the brain and eyes of the animal knows it is being bleed to death
sorry I prefer the gun or bolt - - bang - your dead

But I don't understand your point here

Basically it is the same as other meat taste wise. The difference is that Halal meat the animal was conscious when it's throat was cut to bleed it out. Not a very humane way to slaughter an animal. Here in the west we stun the animal so they don't know what is going on. Halal is an Islamic ritual for the slaughter of animals, the throat is cut while the animal is conscious and a prayer is said.

I am guessing that a religious person prays for those who eat the meat will not become ill. I dont think that muslims believe animals have souls so it could not possibly be for the animal's sacrifice. And since it is not connected with a religious ceremony, it is not a sacrifice for God.

I buy it sometimes. I don't care if someone prayed over it. It still tastes exactly the same.
