Can I make tres leches from a box cake?!
My boyfriends birthday is tomorrow and I would like to make him a Tres Leche cake. I am not daring enought to make the cake from scratch, so I was wondering if I just use regular white cake mixture from a box, add whatever to it and bake it, then just pour make the three milks mixture and pour it on a let it chill, would get the same result? It would sure be easier and take less ingredients that I dont feel like running to the store and getting.

absolutely! just make sure to taste the cake so you wont over do the sugar taste. and remember that if your cake is a white one you can give it a twist by adding coffe or any flavor you want to the milk mixture.
