What works well with eggs? (spices, herbs, etc)?!

Question: What works well with eggs? (spices, herbs, etc)?
I'm just starting to get into cooking, and I can already make every variation perfect (except for poached, deviled or hardboiled) and I was wondering what spices work best with eggs

Answers:

Try tarragon, parsley, marjoram, or oregano with your scrambled eggs, or , make a butter sauce with any of the above for fried, or basted eggs.

You can make curries with eggs, eggs benedict (one of my faves), Huevos Rancheros ( my all time favorite). You should completely make it.

1 corn tortilla, lightly cooked on a little oil/ butter
Refried beans (heated), just enough to spread on tortilla
2 sunny side up, or over easy eggs, place on beans
Mild/spicy salsa(heated) on eggs
Mozzarella sprinkled on top. (Usually it's a mex cheese, but mozz is great)

It is so easy and delicious.

Eggs go great in salads, like cobbs, nicoise, caesar
Or breakfast burritos
OOOOOOOOO quiches are super easy and super yummy

5 eggs per 1 cup heavy cream
throw anything you like in.
Roasted tomatoes, goat cheese, basil
Smoked salmon, goat cheese, basil (my fav)
bacon, cheddar, r. onion
sausage, bell peppers, monteray jack
roasted mushroom, roasted tomatoes, gorgonzola, cheddar, goat (just try not to add too much of each cheese)
I can go on forever.
Eggs are soversatilee it's ridiculous.

By the way for perfect eggs each time.

Start eggs in COLD water
Bring to a ROLLING BOIL
turn OFF
leave eggs IN WATER for

3mins= soft boil
5 mins= medium boil
10 min = hard boil

remove from water when desired temp is reached
crack shell throw into an ice bath until you can handle the eggs
remove from water, crack the shell thoroughly
if you do it under running water it'll help remove the shellsmoothlyy
and enjoy

I'm a commis chef. I make a lot of egg dishes on a daily basis

The only spices I'll put with eggs are:
Hot pepper
Black Pepper
Fresh garlic (just slice it and heat it in the oil, then take the garlic out before scrambling eggs in it).
Maybe fresh chives.
Some egg dishes will not survive without a little nutmeg in it, and dry mustard helps some egg dishes too. (I'm referring in both cases to QUICHE, specifically.)

You don't know how to make a hard boiled egg? There is virtually no skill involved other than knowing how to read the time on a clock. Look it up. Once you can make a hard boiled egg, you're 1/2 way to making deviled eggs.

To answer your question: sage, black pepper, white pepper, cumin, paprika, onion, basil, oregano, all work well with eggs. Those are just a few suggestions.

eggs can be a very delicate food to cook. many people ruin them so be careful. as far as spices to use. i would recommend paprika, lemon, hollandaise sauce, salsa is very good with scrambled or fried eggs! mayonnaise's is very tasty as well with eggs. My favorite is boiled eggs i can do so many things with them. i love them in salads and by themselves.. in the navy we made a dish called "scotchwoodcotch" simply chopped boiled eggs spread over toast and melted cheese sauce poured over them. still one of my most favorites. good luck

Coat bread with them and all sweet spices go well when you fry it up. Whip some water into them and you can put almost any herb or strong spice into it. Basically, God made eggs flavorless exactly to be a showcase for cooks.

A good thing about eggs is that it is a base, just about anything can go with eggs, just experiment with your favorite herbs and spices and see what you can come up with.

Anything works. Try red chilli flakes, mustard seeds, and some cheese. You can put green fresh chillis with onions and some garlic.

I like a pinch of marjoram (especially if it is ground / powder) added to my omelets (or just scrambled)

I love their Fox Point and Herbs de Provence for eggs. Hot sauce (my fave is Tapatio) is also a good one.
