Tanner opillo crabs, are commonly known as Snow Crabs.

Boil them for about 5 minutes. It does not matter if they are dead or alive, the same cooking process applies.

Only the meat from the shell is eaten, as the claws and legs are very thin.

Just rip of the claws etc, leaving just the shell Take out the frilly looking things inside the shell, and discard. Also discard anything else that does not look like crab met.

Then just scape out, or pull out the meat.
