There are many differences between Chinese and Indian food. For one, they use different spices (though both use a good amount of ginger). Secondly, Indian food often contain more dairy; in the form of ghee or clarified butter. Thirdly, they have vastly different cultures, traditions, and histories behind their foods. However, one crucial similarity between the two is that both cuisines are diverse. Sichuan cuisine is different from Cantonese cuisine just like Punjabi food is different from food made in Kerala.
