are wasabi peas safe to eat if they expired two months ago?!

Question: Are wasabi peas safe to eat if they expired two months ago?
im guessing not, but i was really craving them and i found a bag way in the back of the cabinet haha
it says they expired july 31st

what do you think ??

Answers:

thats not an expiriation date
its a "freshness" date, used to move old product from retail shelves

wasabi peas ar dried peas covered in spicy coating... therefore it takes a very long time for them to get bad, or excessive moisture
if they taste fine, they are safe to eat

Haha that kind of stuff happens all the time to me. But your right, probably best not to eat them just to be on the safe side. They would probably be fine but I wouldnt take my chances.

I can't think what would go "bad." Perhaps they won't be as crunchy.
