Name that italian dessert.?!

Question: Name that italian dessert.?
I am trying to find out the exact name of my mother in laws favorite dessert. It's calls pasta-shots or something like that. She's got cancer really bad and fades in and out and hasn't been able to really pronounceate well or be clear headed enough.

Basically from what I am told it looks like a little single serving pie that is filled with chocolate (her favorite) or other fillings.

I would like to find a recipe to make it but I can't spell it or know what exactly it is. Can someone help! No one else I know can tell me exactly what it is.

I'm pretty sure that "Pasta Ciotti" is what you are looking for.
Below is a link for Mary Ann Esposito's recipe (has an Italian cooking show called "Ciao Italia" on PBS).
Hope this helps,
J

u r exactly right. they do look like little pies. They are called pastichiccoti(or close). trust me when I tell u
(as an old italian baker) you will not be able to make them.I'll tell u what they look like.they r triangle shaped.they have layers & layers of dough on them and butter in between the layers like puff pastry(and that's easy)is made. Find a good ITALIAN pastry shop and they have them.and your mother in law is right. there is choc. pudding in them and dusted on the outside with xxxsugar.Goggle it and u will deffentily find it.
Good luck
