....Been to Naples loads. Its the worst airport in the world with refuse everywhere. If Vesuvius blows it will be a blessing. And yes I know that the 'margarita' pizza was invented there. But Pizza is pretty much a Neopolitan thing.

Go to Italy, north, south, central at least twice a year.

We do not eat garlic bread in Italy.
Pasta and pizza are the most famous italian dishes but I can ensure you that we eat them just 2 or 3 times a week (mostly during weekends). people go to work from 8 am to 6 pm from monday to friday and we have just an hour to have lunch, so we carry sandwiches or just go to eat something in a bar. And at dinner time we just eat steak and salad or something like that.
Our life is frenetic too!
While is typical for us going to a pizzeria on saturday night and have pasta on sunday (lasagna, spaghetti or orecchiette if you are from the south of Italy!). We do not have time to cook pasta and pizza!

Pasta (of course), pizza, meats, fish, vegetables (especially greens), fruit of all kinds, rice, beans , lentils, etc. Sound familiar? We eat pretty much the same foods as other nations, It is just cooked differently.
