What a great question. Here's a funny story. My brother in laws favorite dish is Kea Warn which I believe is the sweet and sour chicken. Well, the restaurant screwed up and gave us Gang Kea Warn which is the green curry. After we complained, we felt bad because the green curry was awesome! So my favorite is Green Curry with Chicken...any spice, but preferrably HOT.
I asked a question about what a good thai dish was except Green Curry and Pad Thai since I always get the same thing. But maybe they'll screw up again and I'll have a new favorite dish! great question.
I like red curry with shrimp, yellow curry with chicken, green curry with veggies like Thai eggplant and long beans, and massaman curry with beef.

we fly to thailand (staying in Kuala Lumpur ) regularly but have never ever seen panang curry on any menus before.... funny tho
