if i eat polar bear liver will it kill me?!
Answers:
Well, that is the popular belief, anyway. They say it has a ton of Vitamin A in it and most humans cannot handle that much Vitamin A at once time - except people native to the arctic circle, where Polar Bear liver is their only source of vitamin A.
The myth is pretty non specific, like it doesn't say how much of it a person would have to eat in order to be affected by it. For example - a reasonable serving (say 3 ounces) may not have any immediate or long term affect, but eating that much every day for a week might cause problems.
The issue with Vitamin A is it is fat soluble and is not excreted easily by the body. That is why when we supplement Vitamin A - it is usually with the water soluble beta-carotene, which your body can easily get rid of if you take in too much.
No, but it will kill the Polar bear which is an endangered species which I would hate to see vanish.
Try pigeon liver or something more common.( please)
