Pain in chest after chinese food?!

Question: Pain in chest after chinese food?
When I inhale, I feel a sot of pain in my chest (below my ribcage, under my left tit). I had a large portion of Chinese food -- chow mein and some rice, with much soy sauce. Please explain?

Answers:

Many people have a sensitivity to MSG. MSG is still used very much in Asian foods to enhance flavor. While many companies have eliminated it's use, many restaurants still use it. Some of them over use it. It have been known to cause heart problems in some. Before ordering food, ask if it contains MSG. You may want to avoid this for awhile.

No one can explain what it is.
Even if there were a doctor on here he would have to see you.
It may not even be related to the Chinese food.
Under the left ribcage is the spleen( but a little to the left and a tad lower).
If I had to guess, I just think it's nothing. We get pains now and then that = zilch.
Sometimes gas can do it or even anxiety.A lot of soy means a lot of salt, that can do it.
If it's not unbearable, wait till tomorrow and see if it passes.
Trying going to the bathroom as well.Drink some water.
If the pain is extreme, go to the ER and get it checked.

In the medical section I read an answer that said it could be a gas bubble. And heartburn is a good guess. Is there MSG in your Chinese food? MSG is still out there, but don't know if it would cause symptoms like that.

Ate too fast, not enough water so maybe heartburn?

We had Chinese Food last night no issues with us. I had Seafood Noodle Soup, Hubby had Chow Mein, Son had Seafood Fried Rice. It was all good and not too greasy.

Sounds like heartburn to me.

If you would explain your symptoms in detail and not your meal..you might get an answer which could take away your anxiety.

Drink a full pint of water it will fade away in half an hour

.

LMAO the question sounds legitimate until I see 'under my left tit'. Like, seriously?

Chew your food properly and don't eat so quickly.
