Is it true that local honey is better for you?!

Question:

Is it true that local honey is better for you?

Answers:
Yes it can help with allergies...know this first hand, I always buy local honey and take a spoonful each day instead of manufactured drugs and I have to say that it helps. I also like to try different local honeys when I travel...some of my fave local honey is in Florida since the plants are so diverse, so is the honey!

Only from the perspective than it can help reduce hayfever - your body gets a small amount of local pollen in the honey so you get exposure to it without your system being overwhelmed. Like a vaccine sort of thing.

Yes cuz it builds up the immune system and helps if you have hayfever. It's made by the local bees which means it's an atmosphere which you are used to living in.....if you understand what i mean..

if it is local it means it is delivered quicker and is fresher

so yeah plus itll taste better

It depends if it is better for you. Some local honey farms use no chemicals, and treat their bees good. Other places locally might use chemcials on their bees and their honey to make them produce more honey. You never know.

i am not sure if it is true but it makes sense. especially if you have a bad allergy problem. since local honey is made from local flowers then it has local pollen. your body will slowly form an immunity to the local pollen and that make any allergies less of a problem.

food of the Gods they say! apparently, honey has healing properties - i love it in my porridge oats! - yummy!

yes and it's good 4 hayfever but start taking it in the winter

So I have been told maybe because it does not have any sugar added. Honey is also good got the skin.

Yes but the best is when it is RAW. It has all the enzymes and healing properties still in tact.
