What's your favourite comfort food?!

Question:

What's your favourite comfort food?

And you can explain why, if you want to:)

Answers:
Peanuts and Belgium Chocolates.
i like the because they are good and once you start to eat them you cant stop.

Minestrone soup. o_O I don't really know why... it does exactly fit the normal "comfort food" criterion...

Ice cream and brownies. Together.

A nice thick warm slice of dark bread with a thick layer of butter. That's what I had my grandmother make when I woke up in the morning as a little kid.

Cheesecake

Homemade fried chicken, corn-on-the-cob, mashed potatoes & gravy, & some sliced cucumbers in vinegar sauce. Many Sunday dinners....

Potato Bake.

All that cream and cheese is enough to comfort anyone!

ice cream.

It needs no explanation lol.

Ramen. Full of sodium and memoires of better times.

OH Chocolate Gravy, it reminds me of a time where everything was ok and nothing went wrong, plus its just darn good!!! If you have never had it I suggest you try it you will fall in love with it and want it all the time. but dont wear it out oh hell you can't. I LOVE IT

Dominoes Pizza:

Large Pepperoni
Cheesey garlic bread
Bleu cheese dressing.

It doesn't matter how bad a day I've had, or whether or not I'm even hungry, but I can eat about half of both in one setting. Have a couple of Michelob Amber Bock beers along with it. I'm relaxing just thinking about it.

And speghetti with meat sauce with butter and garlic bread. I had that last night and Dominoes the night before.

I love both of them because they are filling and easy to make (or order!). When I first started dating my husband, we would always eat a lot of the above. I know that I like them and I know pizza or speghetti will never let me down if I'm hungry and I just want something.

people comfort food is good once in a while but not all the time. if u eat it to much u will gain fat.

Tuna casserole. All you do is dice a small onion, mix it with a can of drained tuna and a can of cream of mushroom soup. Meanwhile, cook 2 cups of macaroni in boiling water. Drain the macaroni and mix in the tuna mixture. Delish.

Reminds me of my dear grandmother--she used to make this.

Fried potatoes, Fried Eggs, biscuit and sausage gravy, french toast, spicy sausage, and bacon. These were made for my mom's sunday breakfast. Since I've moved to college it hasn't been the same. I try to make it but it's never as good.

Any kind or Potato Chip

my favorite comfort food is ice cream

OMG! Abbyn and I have the SAME favorite...never thought I'd see that on here! LOL!
I am Southern, and therefore, LOVE Southern cooking...my Granny made the BEST homemade biscuits...PawPaw grew the BEST Silver Queen sweet white corn and cukes...and Granny could fry a chicken like nobody's business! Oh and her mashed potatoes! Lordy!
I was a very picky eater as a kid, and therefore skinny "as a rail"...but, at Granny and PawPaw's, I became the bottomless pit when it came to food! I remember the garden just before a rain when we'd go pull corn and cucumbers, and take them in to Granny's kitchen where it would smell like heaven from her baking and frying...watching the butter drip over the sides of her hot "cat head" biscuits (Southerners call large, oversized biscuits, cat head biscuits!! LOL ! never have known why !!!)...writing my name in the condensation of the chilled side of the pitcher full of fresh squeezed lemonade...sitting on her front porch on the big glider, watching the evening fade, and anxiously awaiting the fireflies to come out....
You know, Grandparents are the best!
I'm getting teary-eyed just remembering!
**sigh**

Home made mashed potatoes and gravy, along with anything that traditionally goes with them such as fried chicken, chicken fried steak, meatloaf, pot roast.

Warm Homemade Apple Pie and a big scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. With a cuppa tea.Tastes sooooo good.

Believe it or not my comfort food is whole wheat angel hair pasta with a drizzle or oilve oil and a little bit of pasta sauce. I don't know why but it's my comfort food.
