Traditionally White Curries are based with a gravy made with cashew/almond paste, fresh sour curd and fresh cream. It's really Yummy and very different from the usual Tomato based gravy that is common in Indian restaurant.
Now the problem is, Indian restaurants in West name their dishes mostly from their marketing perspective without following the original name.
Usually this white gravy can come with following name....
***Nawabi Ghost (Ghost is the Lamb....Nawabi is the adjective came from Nawab or the Muslim Kings)
***Sahi Mutton (Sahi comes from Persian rulers)
***Mutton Rezala (this white gravy is much thinner....not thick....but really really Yummy)
If you don't see these name in the menu, call the captain and ask for a white gravy lamb curry....specify that you are looking for a gravy that is made with cashew/almond paste...you will get it.
Hi: Possibly Lamb Badam Pasanda - it is a mild, rich creamy sweetish curry with almond, cashew and sometimes raisins - looks rather whitish due to the cream added to it. Have it with puri bread - you will like it.
Me - My son loves this dish (and he's not a big curry fan)
It could be either Lamb kurma or Andhra lamb curry
it sounds like a lamb korma.
a creamy curry.
look up korma and see if that's right.
