gelatin is gelatin, if you look at the store brands, Jello is just the "brand name" it's a marketing thing, you know people buy the stuff with the friendliest name, thats why kentucky fried chicken is just KFC now, its easier to say and sticks out in your mind.
It's a brand name, like Coca Cola is cola or Kellenx is tissues.
