Question: Is it safe to reheat fried chicken in a pan of gravy in oven thats ben out for 3 hrs?
ok fried chicken sitting in resturant cafeteria on steam table. Looks old after 4 hrs. Take it put in pan and throw in oven for 45 mins ok? How about taking out and leaving sit on counter for 2-4hrs then pouring over gravy throw in oven 45 mins? Smothered chicken? Serve to customers?

Sure, I'd do it! Looking 'old' in this case means it's dried out a little on top.
But after five or six hours I would not.

What are you, some kind of comedian? You've left 4 hour old fried chicken "on counter for 2-4hrs then pouring over gravy throw in oven 45 mins? Smothered chicken? Serve to customers?" Those are your words I just quoted. Fried Chicken smothered in gravy. Sounds as appetizing as a pack of Ramen Noodles. It is also unsafe and unsound business.

Just out of curiosity, how old and what kind of gravy are you using before you "THROW" the whole mess in the oven for 45?"

Serve to customers? God have mercy on 'em.

Now do you readers understand why I don't recommend dining out? We're at the mercy of business people trying to get as much out of their food as possible, even if it means selling you unappetizing and unwholesome fare, all in the name of profit.

It should be pointed that any time fried chicken doesn't disappear off a cafeteria steam table, it's because it's not good or appetizing to look at to begin with.

Out of curiosity, business man, for how much were you going to sell the grease bomb to the unwary public? Gonna charge 'em extra because of all of your labor of dumping a 5 gallon drum of industrial strength gravy on chicken with the added bonus of letting it cook for an additonal 45"?

Sch?me Dich. You deserve grief with your gravy.

That's why so many people get food poisoning after eating out! Gross morons!
