Help! I'm looking for a Mexican/Hispanic food!?!

Question: Help! I'm looking for a Mexican/Hispanic food!?
I was at work one day and my co-worker let me try some of what he had. It was like a quesadilla but it was much smaller and the tortilla was folded in half and had cheese and spices in it. I think he said you could put meat in it but I'm not sure.

If anyone has any ideas on what it was that would be awesome! thanks!

Omg, are you guys retarted or something???? Anyway yes its a quesadilla. Thats how they are made. Anyway just ask your co-worker what he or she put in it.

Based on the info given there is no way of saying. You would have to ask.

Seeing that it was folded it sounds like a small quesadilla or could be a chico (small) taco. Also, could be a Sope although that is usually not folded per se.

That is if the guy is Mexican. If he happens to be from El Salvador or Guatemala than that might be a Pupusa although that is usually stuffed and not folded.

If by chance he is from Columbia or Venezuela then it could be an Arepa.

It might not even have a name. It could have been something he just threw together, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a national dish with a certain name. You should just ask him. Chances are that even if it has a name and you find a recipe, it won't taste the same, so just ask him what it was and (if he made it) how it was made.

Its called a chimichanga and yes you can put meat in it.

Its just a flour tortilla that can have chili cheese spices onion and meats you put all the ingrediants inside then you butter a pan and fry it. You can also just put it in the microwave.

i think you're looking for Argentinian Empanadas
or Arepas from Colombia
or chimichangas

Although with the description you give, i'm pretty sure that it is an Argentinian Empanada;
Chimichangas are more like a fried burrito and Arepas are round.

Definitely an Empanada from Argentina

It sounds like a quesadilla. They come in different sizes.

But you should probably just ask your co-worker. You'll get a more accurate answer that way - if you rely on people to tell you over the internet, they'll probably get it wrong.

Sope (not folded) pronounced: so pay
Papusa (filled, rather than folded)
taco--just a small one (?)

yea you should just ask your coworker wat it is..theres lots of things that is like wat you just described
