Why does a lot of vegan and vegetarian food have kiddie-sounding names?
Like chik*n, chReese, p'sghetti loops with soy meatballs, etc etc. Between this and the cute little drink boxes of Silk I bought for breakfast on the go, my fridge looks like it belongs in a day care center lol.
Answers:
Come up with an adult sounding name for your veggie analog product (analog what us oldsters call veggie products that are analogous to meatie stuff).
Now that you have your adult sounding name picked out try to trademark it! Lotsa luck!! Many/most have already been glommed up by other companies. Whether they use the trademark or not doesn't matter, it's theirs and you can't have it.

Vegetarians do not eat fish. A fish eater is a Piscivore. Spread the correct word!

never noticed
Because those foods you mentioned are more than likely aimed at children, just like spaghetti o's and chicken nuggets.
Well, they can't call it chicken if it's not really chicken. Basically, they have to give their products names that will not infringe on other product names or risk false advertising.
that is really funny, I guess they are trying to attact a younger cround and get them to go vegan early, Like Burger king does
good point
Hm, I never noticed. I don't care what it's called either, as long as it tastes good.
isn't that non-vegetarian
Very observant. I never thought of it that way. Maybe it is to let you know what it is, but still be different.
not sure about the name but haveing lots of color catches your eye which makes you look at it and more then likely buy it.
In other words if a name (how ever kiddish or cute) or the way it looks makes you pick it up your 50% more likely to put it in your cart and take it home.
Don't forget Toffutie Cuties.
