Nice expensive hard alcohol?!

Question:

Nice expensive hard alcohol?

Anyone have a nice idea for a good tasting hard liquor and that's 40-60 dollars. Not looking for Grey Goose, but do any of you have some ideas? What is the proof, and what does it taste like?

Answers:
Jack Daniels

I like Tangary Ten, it is about 35 for a 750ml and it is 90 proof, it won a award for the best clear liquor. at the San Fransico awads, and the is the biggest awards that I know

but I am a huge gin drinker, my 2nd fav is Bulldog

This really depends on your taste. For vodka, I love Chopin. It's made by Belvedere and is made from potatoes so it's really smooth. Patron or Don Julio are nice for tequilas, Johnny Walker Blue Label is a great scotch, for cognac try a nice VO version of Hennessy or Grand Marnier. Most proofs are 80 plus which means 40% or more of alcohol

Remy Martin VSOP: Tastes like a good *** cognac

Here's a couple of suggestions:

If you're a vodka person, go for Van Gogh vodka - the HUGE bottle, you can't miss it at the liquor store. 80 proof and will run you at least 60 bucks. Tastes like...vodka. The citroen flavor's not bad, also at 80 proof. They have many other flavors, most of them delicious, but these will invariably be weaker (about 60-70 proof).

If you like scotch, try Johnny Walker Green Label is a step above red and black, but won't break your wallet. Of course, if you really want to impress, nothing tops Blue Label, but that's probably beyond your means, or mine for that matter :)

Then of course, you can always try Bombay Sapphire (gin), Patron or Herradura (tequila). These might fall under 40 bucks (depends where you live, really), but they're still quality liquors you won't regret buying.

Hope this helps.

i LOVE petron tequila. it's 80 proof and pretty expensive.

Makers Mark is a nice bourbon
Kettle One is a good vodka
Patron is my one and only tequila

I recommend Patron Tequila. Great stuff. (translation: Boss)

cheers to whoever said patron tequilla. that's always a good time.

Chivas Regal Scotch, 80 proof and goes down smooth.Enjoy

1. Hennessy VSOP - Best quality for the money, around $45

2. Remy Martin VSOP - Most popular around the world, If not a Cognac drinker this would be a great start. If you can not drink it straight then a little ginger ale or sprite will go great with it. Only $35.

3. Johnnie Walker Gold - Nice and smooth, falls between the green and the blue. May cost a little more but worth it.

Most alcohol is 80 proof

Hope this helps

Look for a nice bottle of Scotch or Irish whiskey.
Go to a reputable retailer and ASK!
