DOES ANYONE HAVE A PIE BALD DACHSHUND ?!

Question: DOES ANYONE HAVE A PIE BALD DACHSHUND ?
EVERYWHERE I GO , PEOPLE ASK ME "WHAT KIND OF DOG IS THAT?". THEY THINK IT IS PART JACK RUSSELL. MINE IS A DOUBLE DAPPLE, TAN AND BLACK MINI PIE BALD NAMED HEINZ ( QUITE A MIXTURE OF COLORS). DO YOU HAVE OR KNOW OF SOMEONE WHO HAS A PIE BALD?

Answers:

I have a "used" dachshund named Ace who lives with my parents. We got him from a rescue place. He is short haired, red, but with little gray patches of dapple. People who see him he must be old and that he’s "going gray" (actually we have no idea how old he is). Before we got him, we never heard of dapple. Our last dachshund was a kind of mixed red and dark red--kind of like the "sable and wild boar" section of the link below, but we just thought of him as red.

The link below has many pictures of all combinations of colors of dachshunds, and they all look like "hotdogs" to me. I don’t know why anyone would think yours wasn’t a dachshund just because of its color.

The primary purpose for which the Dachshund was developed was to hunt the badger. The Dachshund (translation: Badger Dog) required specific traits such as courage, stamina & perseverance beyond what is usually expected of any other hunting dog. The breed's deep sonorous bark is a special advantage, for it enabled the hunter to determine what was going on down in the badger hole.

The authentic origin of the Dachshund as a breed can be traced to Germany during the years 1550-1850 when German foresters, gamekeepers, and sportsmen first selected their dogs because of their affinity to go underground and fearlessly fight the badger, a vicious, saber-clawed antagonists weighing anywhere from 25 to 40 pounds.

What recipe are you using? You can probably sub out a basset hound if you can't find a dachshund.

Wrong section and why are you yelling at everyone. Do you know common curtesy rules for the internet.

First of all-no need to shout! And yes,my MIL has a piebald dachshund-he's gorgeous
