Question: What is balogna? and why is it pronouced ba-lon-nee? why isnt it pronouced ba-lon-na?
where does the eeeee sound come from. does that pronounciation go against everything that english teachers all over america teach?

Answers:

it's Bologna and comes from the Italian city of Bologna. they have all kind of meat products.
that it's pronounced baloney has more to do with American language skills then anything else...

Balongna is a type of meat that people use for sandwiches and other things. It's more fattening that turkey, or poultry, since it's made of pork.

I don't know why it's pronounced like ba-lone-ee, but some people do spell it like baloney. I guess it's just an American way of spelling it. The word probably came from another country, maybe.

And no, different things are pronounced different ways. You never really now how to pronounce things unless you look in the dictionary or something. For example, I have a friend named Linnea, and everyone always pronounces her name wrong. That doesn't mean it's spelled wrong though.

It's a lunchmeat. Some people spell it "baloney".
What a weird pronunciation it has... I don't even know why.
