Sushi nori issue, Help me make good sushi!!!?!

Question: Sushi nori issue, Help me make good sushi!!!?
I have tried a few times to make sushi and everything taste perfect except for the Nori.. it gets stretchy. I don't know what I am doing wrong but the nori gets so stretchy its not even edible! I cook the rice and put the rice vinegar and let it cool, then roll it with the ingredients. Maybe the type of nori? Thanks!

the secret is to place the nori inside your hoo-hoo's to soften it up and gives it that "extra" flavor!!!?

Toasting the nori by holding it over the burner on the stove helps to keep it from absorbing so much of the moisture from the rice. Just a moment or two on either side of the sheet, and you'll feel it start to crinkle. And try to make sure is that the rice gets enough time to air before rolling. Constantly sifting through it with a flat spatula or japanese style rice server as it cools will help.

2 things come to mind, either your rice is too wet (it should be dry and very sticky, short grain should be used) or your work station and hands are too wet. Nori is VERY temperamental when it comes to moisture. Only the tips of your fingers should be moist and a the nori lightly dabbed with water to seal the edges. Hope you have a great dinner.
