Hi
I would not use margarine. Use corn oil or sunflower oil if you're worried about calories. You really don't need much. Melted butter is probably the tastiest.
Crepes only make a very slight sound while cooking. You will have NO grease flying anywhere. If you do it means you're using too much oil. You can spray the pan lightly. But you could also use a brush to dip into the oil and brush the surface of the pan. Or use a light muslin cloth to dip and paint the surface of the pan. The spray or brush is the best way.
Use a plastic spatula to turn the crepes, that way you will not make any sound while flipping them.
We make crepes at home quite often.
Here the technique to grease the pan is shown quite well : http://www.mahalo.com/how-to-make-crepes
mine are pretty quiet when i cook them ... you must be using too much oil. if you put enough oil in the batter it should be enough to keep them from sticking. i usually just wipe the pan with a dab of oil and a paper towel ... my first one is usually always messed up regardless.
margerine will work but the pan does have to be more than medium, not max. . no they dont make a whole lot of noise and you can flip them with your fingers to avoid scraping noises. its easier than it sounds to finger flip them.
Yeah the crepes do make noises when you make them :/
I used this website for instructions!
Hope it helps :)
